Cap Beret

Cap Beret
U.S. Soldiers: Do you like wearing the beret, or prefer to only wear the patrol cap?

I agree, I've been to two drilling assemblies with my unit (did not do much, because I'm pre-basic), I have led both the beret and the PC and have to say that I like much better team … Do not look too bad in my beret, but CP is more practical.

The Beret is hard work. You have to shave, shape, and you can not just shoot with one hand as the top of the patrol. The patrol cap is better protection against sun and heat do not remove any.

Jewish Hat

The Jewish hat also known as the Jewish cap, Judenhut (German) or Latin pilleus cornutus ( "horned skullcap"), was a white cone or yellow shaped pointed hat worn by Jews in medieval Europe and some in the Islamic world. Initially worn by choice, its use was imposed in Europe after 1215 adult male Jews to wear while outside a ghetto in order to distinguish Jews from others. Like the red cap that often resembles, the hat may have its origin in the pre-Islamic Persia similar hat was worn by Babylonian Jews.

In Europe, the Jewish hat is seen in France since the 11th century, and Italy 12, presumably reach the Islamic world. Under Jewish law, observant Jews must keep their heads covered almost all the time. [2] Unlike the yellow stripe, hat Jew is often in the sample Hebrew manuscripts, and later was included by Jews of Germany in their seals and coats of arms, suggesting that at least initially was considered by European Jews as "an item of traditional dress, rather than an imposed discrimination." [3] The hat is also used in images Christian figures as San Jose and sometimes to Jesus (see below). However, once you "make it mandatory, the hat, so far deliberately different hats worn by Christians, was seen by Jews in a negative light "[4] A law in Breslau in 1267, said that since Jews had stopped wearing hats said he used to wear, this would be mandatory.

The Fourth Lateran Council of 1215 decided that Jews and Muslims are distinguished by their dress (the Latin "habitus") The reason given is: "In some provinces dress distinguishes Jews and Saracens of Christians, but in others a degree of confusion has arisen, so it can not be recognized by any distinctive sign. As a result, error Christians have sexual intercourse with Jewish or Saracen women, and Jews and Saracens having sex with Christian women. In order that the crime of that damn mix in the future will not be an excuse and a fraud on the pretext of error, decided that (Jews and Saracens) of both sexes in all Christian lands publicly distinguish themselves from others by their dress. According to the testimony of scripture, such a provision was already made by Moses (Lev.19.19; Deut.22.5.11).

More rules were enacted locally by the rulers. The decision Council was confirmed by the Council of Vienne of 1311-12. In 1267 the hat was made compulsory in Vienna. A doctor gave him a temporary waiver to use it in Venice in 1528, at the request distinguished from many patients. [7] Pope Paul IV ordered in 1555 that in the Papal States, which should be a yellow, pointed hat, and from 1567 for twenty years was mandatory in Lithuania, but this period is rarely seen in most of Europe. [8] As a result of the emancipation of the Jews from their use was officially suspended, although there has been much reduced before, not often seen after 1500, various forms of the yellow are much more durable. [9] This is another way of distinguishing the mark, not in Europe before 1215, and again later by the Nazis. In some photos from all parts of the Middle Ages, rabbis and other Jewish leaders are hat Jews Jews when others do not, which may reflect reality [10].

The hat shape is variable. Sometimes, especially in the 13th century, is a soft Phrygian cap, but far more common in the initial period is a round circular brim hat – apparently rigid – turn a corner and ending in sharp high a point. [11] lodges smaller versions at the top of the head are also seen. Sometimes a ring of some sort around the hat of an inch or two in the top of the head. In the 14th century a ball or a tassel at the top of his hat, and decreasing the end becomes more of a stem with a relatively constant width. [12] The top of the hat becomes flatter, or rounded (as in the image Manesse Codex).

In the late Middle Ages, the hat was replaced every again by a variety of headgear including hats exotic oriental broke, turbans and, since the 15th century, any flat hats and oversized berets. In the photos of scenes from the Bible that sometimes represent attempts to portray contemporary dress of the (modern) time spent in the Holy Land, but all the same styles can be seen in some images of contemporary European scene. When a distinctive pointed hat remains Jew has become much less defined in shape and widths. Loose turbans, hats of every plane, and berets as well as new styles of fur hat Residence Zone, remain associated with Jews until the 18th century and beyond.

For dhimmis (non-Muslims), which are clearly distinguishable from Muslims in public, Muslim rulers often prohibited dhimmis to use certain types clothing, while undertakes to give very specific clothing, usually a bright color. Experts cited the Pact of Omar in which Christians supposedly had the obligation to "always dress the same way wherever we are, and? zunar bind the [wide belt] round the waist. Al-Nawawi dhimmis necessary to carry a piece of yellow cloth and a belt and a metal ring, inside public baths.

Regulations on dhimmi clothing often varied in favor of the whims of the ruler. Although the onset of such regulations is usually attributed to Umar I, historical evidence suggests that it was the Abbasid Caliph pioneered the practice. In the year 850 the caliph al-Mutawakkil ordered Christians and Jews use either a band called zunnah and a distinctive kind of shawl or head scarf called taylasin (Christians had been forced to wear the band). Also obliged to wear small bells in the bathrooms public. In the 11th century, the Fatimid Caliph Al-Hakim ordered Christians to put in two feet of wooden crosses and Jews to wear wooden calves around their necks. From late 12th century, Almohad ruler Abu Yusuf ordered the Jews of the Maghreb to wear dark blue garments with long sleeves and saddle covers. His grandson, Abdallah al-Adil made one concession after appeals from the Jews, relaxing the required clothing to yellow garments and turbans. In the 16th century, Jews in the countries of Maghreb could only wear sandals made of rushes and black turbans or caps red with an extra piece of fabric [15].

black "> Http://www.himfr.com/buy-black_shirts/"> shirtsOttoman sultans black continued to their regular clothes non-Muslim subjects. In 1577, Murad III issued a ban on Jews and Christians sign of wear dresses, turbans and sandals. In 1580, he changed opinion, the previous restriction of the ban on turbans and requiring dhimmis use of black shoes, Jews and Christians also had to wear hats red and black, respectively. Observing in 1730 that some Muslims took to the habit of wearing caps similar to those of the Jews, Mahmud I ordered the hanging of the authors. Mustafa III personally helped to enforce his decrees on clothing. In 1758, he was walking incognito in Istanbul and ordered the beheading of a Jew and an Armenian seen dressed in forbidden attire. The last Ottoman decree affirming the distinctive dress of dhimmis was issued in 1837 by Mahmud II. Discriminatory clothing did not was applied in the Ottoman provinces where Christians were the majority, like Greece and the Balkans.
