It's a monster
When golf Cleveland Hibor driver first unveiled in 2006, the new head of design, was the golf world on its ear. Fast forward to the beginning of 2009, just three years later, and we are in the fourth version of the driver picked up the support.
This, as its name suggests, is a monster.
The High Launch, spin under the mantra that has been the backbone of the controller design is taken to new heights with the monster. The advantage of this model year is more of an emphasis on MOI or moment of inertia, resistance to twisting at impact. The limitation of the 5900 USGA a rating is pushed to the limit with extreme back and perimeter weighting 24 additional grams.
The length is a huge 46.5 inches, thanks to a Flightspeed Made by Fujikura Shaft. The stock shaft offering is all bends in Flightspeed and gold (lower flight and lighter Swingweight) or Red (flying higher and heavier Swingweight). There are a variety of custom shafts from multiple manufacturers, which conform to a number of golfers.
Cleveland Xls Hibor Monster Is Hot, indulgent – and Loud
Cleveland claims to the driver is 16 percent higher than the previous driver XLS.
Judging by the units that club members and partners concerned, who can barely missed the monster. The point Sweet seems to have extended to the whole face. The club was an ordeal-flex rod gold standard, 10.5 degrees.
One thing that immediately stands out the Monster is its sound. He is strong! A well struck ball sounds like it has been fired from a cannon. In fact, in my eyes, which is the rate at which the ball leaves the face. Very hot.
The flight of the ball looked like it was drawn in the sky by an engineer, which means it is almost a perfect version of what the angle of ideal launch prescribed. Forgiveness is very real and very visible.
Three Flavors of Monster
The Monster comes in three versions, standard, draw and Tour. Iteration standard features of a square face and neutral internal weighting. The lottery has a 3-degrees closed face, offset and be prepared internal weighting bias. The Tour Model has a 440cc head more compact, 2-degree-open inner balance and fade bias.
With the high MOI, a selection of models to adapt to changes in players and a super hot and ultra-expensive forgiveness, this version of the XLS Hibor is indeed a monster.
