TaylorMade-adidas Golf Company (TMAG) of Carlsbad, California, is a U.S. affiliate headquarters of the German based adidas Group. TaylorMade began in 1979 by Gary Adams, the inventor of metalwood, and the company has continued to maintain a constant the presence at the top of golf product innovation since then, including the R7 Quad line with movable weight cartridges.

TaylorMade is owned adidas independent until bought the company in 1997.
