The 10-foot stainless-Steel Head of Our Lady Queen of Peace was extracted studio of sculptor Charles Parks in Bancroft Mills on Tuesday and taken to Bruce Industrial Co. in southern New Castle Avenue in Wilmington. In recent weeks to come, the head will be welded to the back of steel and finished statue taken to Holy Spirit Catholic Church. There will remain with outstretched arms reaching toward the Delaware Memorial Bridge. The 34-foot high Madonna was built for $ 500,000, money raised by a local group of Catholics.
